Your questions, answered

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Here are a few things that might help you feel more at ease as you consider starting therapy.

    1. Reach out — Send a message through the contact form, email me at marlowmowerycounseling@gmail.com, or call/text 615-669-6438.

    2. Free consultation — We’ll have a brief phone call to talk about what you're needing and see if we’re a good fit.

    3. First session — If it feels right, we’ll schedule your first appointment and begin the work together.

  • I see clients in person at Psychobabble (100 Taylor Street in Nashville, TN), online via telehealth, or outdoors for walk-and-talk sessions in the Germantown area. Let me know your preference — we’ll find a rhythm that works for you.

  • Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. I blend evidence-based approaches like EMDR, parts work, schema therapy, and narrative therapy to help you explore the deeper patterns shaping your thoughts, relationships, and sense of self. We’ll go at your pace — whether that means diving into childhood dynamics, sitting with grief, or learning to speak more kindly to yourself.

  • I work with adults navigating self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and the lingering effects of early experiences.

Therapy with me may be a good fit if you:

    • Struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing, or perfectionism

    • Feel like you’re never enough, or always “too much”

    • Tend to care for others at the expense of yourself

    • Carry shame, fear, or grief from past trauma or loss

    • Feel stuck in patterns shaped by family, faith, or illness

    • Want to explore deeper stories beneath your emotions and beliefs

Whether you’re new to therapy or returning with fresh intentions, we’ll work together to create space for healing, insight, and growth.

  • My session fee is $150 per 50-minute session. I also offer a limited number of slide scale spots for those with financial need. If affordability is a concern, I’m always happy to discuss this further.

  • I am not in-network with insurance, but can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.

Not using insurance allows me to provide more personalized care, protect your privacy, and focus on what truly matters in our work together.
